Have a nasty LinkedIn Profile Link? Here's to fix it!

Wow, I'm on a roll today!  I also figured out how to fix my nasty LinkedIn profile url.

It used to be: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dave-brown/10/530/5b6


I managed to change it to: http://ca.linkedin.com/in/bestcoaching/


Here's how I did it.


1. Log in to your LinkedIn account.


2. From the Profile menu, choose Edit Profile.


3. In the details about your profile is a section called "Public Profile".  Beside it is a URL to your profile.. and beside that is an Edit link -- click the edit link.


4. You should now see this page:

5. On the right hand side is a section called "Your public profile URL".  There is a link there called "Customize your public profile url" -- click that.


6. Enter your desired URL -- LinkedIn will automatically verify the link.


7. Once you've got the URL you like, click Set Custom URL.
