Addiction to Games and time wasting activities
I've been pondering another aspect of my life -- games. I recently became rather addicted to the facebook app "Bejeweled Blitz". This is not the first game or other time waster that I've become infatuated with. Of course I always ask myself, "why spend so much time on these time wasting things and not on worthy goals?"
I was just reviewing my posts and noticed that I had a good topic going about becoming the new rich. What have I done to work towards achieving any goals related to that topic since I wrote that post? Nothing. I wonder, why can I not be as addicted to working on worthy goals as I am with games.
One explanation just occured to me -- perhaps it's the fact that I just don't know how to break the vast topic of "become rich" into achieveable goals... things that I can work addictively on until I reach my main big goal. Games do that for you -- they set out small, achieveable goals, give you constant rewards and are bright and shiny and keep you interested. How about the project of 'getting rich'? What is there about that goal that is exciting and achievable? How do I break that problem down into smaller chunks?
Each day I'm filled with a million fleeting thoughts and ideas. I have thousands of business ideas but zero businesses that I'm building. What do I need to do to make my big projects become addictive games?

Been taking classes in the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program at Vancouver Community College (http://instructordiploma.com This past week I was learning about such topics as student learning styles, memory, and functions of the brain. The instructor, Bob Aitken (http://instructordiploma.com/core/bob.htm introduced us to a number of really interesting sites related to learning, the brain and motivation.
